Taxes are near
To the editor:
The tax is coming. Sales, state income, more property, oil revenue … Argue about it all you want, but the tax is coming. The state’s oil is rapidly being depleted, and Ted Stevens will soon be gone and with him millions in annual welfare dollars. The questions is this: Do the people of Alaska want their elected representatives in Juneau to tax these faceless, multinational oil corporations, or would they rather impose the tax on themselves?
Don’t tell me, go tell them!
