Fights of the roundtable
The Senate Special Committee on Natural Gas Development is holding a roundtable discussion today with representatives of the administration, the major producers and the Legislature’s consultants on the gas contract and amendments to the Stranded Gas Development Act.
The committee won’t take up any new business in the last two days of the special session, but the conversation, which is expected to go until the Senate floor session at 4 p.m., is one of the few times the consultants hired by the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee have been able to challenge assertions made by the administration.
News-Miner reporters Stefan Milkowski and Eric Lidji bring you up-to-date info about the governor's oil tax and
the gas line plans as well as tossing in some tidbits that have nowhere else to go.
