All’s quiet
Word in the halls of the Capitol is that Gov. Frank Murkowski will not call another special session anytime soon regardless of the status of the oil tax bill at midnight tonight.
There’s no movement around the second-floor Butrovich room this morning. The conference committee on the oil tax was supposed to meet at 9 a.m., but so far if there’s any talking going on, it’s not happening in public.
There’s just under 14 hours left in the special session.
News-Miner reporters Stefan Milkowski and Eric Lidji bring you up-to-date info about the governor's oil tax and
the gas line plans as well as tossing in some tidbits that have nowhere else to go.
