Andrew Halcro and the Voice of the Times toss up some behind the scene rumors.

In return for support from House Democrats on ACES, they say Gov. Sarah Palin is promising to campaign against Republicans who vote against her bill. They also say Palin is promising to fund some rural projects in return for positive votes on ACES from rural lawmakers.

Russ Kelly, Palin’s legislative director, called the rumors “completely untrue” and “perpetuated by people who don’t want to see ACES pass.”

Kelly said the governor has been discussing the bill with legislators but that “There’s been no cutting deals or promises made or anything like that.”
