Morning Thoughts: Letters
Since you won’t be getting any mail today, you might want to read some of the mail other people are getting.
First: Gov. Sarah Palin writes to Sen. Joseph Lieberman about drilling for oil in ANWR. She’s for it.
Then: Before heading off for Turkmenistan, oil consultant Daniel Johnston sends a final rah-rah to state lawmakers about oil taxes. He’s for them.
And Finally: We’ll call it an open letter to keep with the theme. An Exxon (not Exxon Mobil) magazine ad from 1975 reports on the state of pipeline construction in the North. They’re for it.
News-Miner reporters Stefan Milkowski and Eric Lidji bring you up-to-date info about the governor's oil tax and
the gas line plans as well as tossing in some tidbits that have nowhere else to go.
