Amendment No. 6 deals with the exploration incentive credit by requiring companies applying for the 30 percent credit to provide the state with seismic data. Approved unanimously.
Amendment No. 7 creates an oil and gas credit fund to help small explorers get the full value for their earned investment credits. Approved 12 to 7.
Back to the fiscal note: The Senate bill would capture for the state $4.6 billion in fiscal 2008 at $80 oil – $1 billion more than the version passed Sunday by the House.
