Bull's Eye Youth Archery Camp/Clinic

Description

Nationally certified instructors teach campers on individual archery levels on form, shot placement, and scoring, and intermediate and advanced students strive for shooting score patches.
Students will make arrows, learn equipment and string maintenance, and be exposed to hunter safety instruction and respect for the environment and wildlife resources. Each Friday is extended for a picnic, mini-tournament and awards ceremony. Low cost bow packages or rentals available.

Frontier Alaska Basketball Skills Camp

Description

Mike Hajdukovich and Al Sokaitis from Challenge Life will be offering a skills camp for all ages, boys and girls to better their basketball abilities and make the game a little more fun. Top players from around the state will be there learning position play and younger players will also be taught the finer fundamentals of basketball. Players will be separated by age and abilities during sessions.
This camp replaces the late July Triple Threat Basketball camp previously offered. This will be Challenge Life's biggest camp yet because older kids from team camp sessions will be attending as well as our local kids. Lunch will be offered as well to all participants.

GCI Jr. High & High School Boys & Girls Basketball Team Camp

Description

Mike Hajdukovich and Al Sokaitis with Challenge Life Youth Foundation and Clemon Johnson from the University of Alaska are bringing back Alaska's most popular team basketball camp. This year they are adding girl's teams and jr. high teams from all over Alaska. There will be plenty of competitive games, refereed by the FAI Referee Association and a great opportunity for players and their teams to get ready for next season. Skate Boarder's Camp

Description

Skateboarding Camp will use a 4-H curriculum for youth ages 10-14. Riders will learn the basic skateboarding tricks, park etiquette, how to build a skate board and terminology. The camp is for all levels of ability. Field trips will be taken using the Borough bus line.

Ultimate Frisbee Camp

This camp is designed to teach the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, from various throws and catches to offensive and defensive stratagies. The camp will be broken up into age groups with one group just for high school age players and one for younger players.

USA Volleyball Girl's High Performance Development Camp

This is the first USA Volleyball camp ever in Alaska.
