Alaska Bird Camp Kids programs
Description
Birds, Bugs, & the Boreal Forest: Spend the day learning from biologists and artists on Creamer's Refuge. Kids will work on two projects with local artists.
ABO Raptor & Junior Raptor Camps: Learn all about Alaska's hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons through games, activities, and nature walks.
Feathers & Flight: Learn all about birds and how they soar and dive around the sky. Test the principles of flight through games & activities.
Alyeska Track & Field Games
Description
The games are a beginners level, recreational track and field program designed to introduce boys and girls to the sport of track and field.
Camp Fire USA Spruce Park Community Center Programs
Description
Camp Fire Community Center programs provide free, safe and nurturing out of school time environments to youth in lower income neighborhoods. Each program is located in an AHFC housing area. The program is similar to our licensed school age child care, with an added emphasis on providing youth the opportunity to experience new activities and build positive life skills. Community centers enable parents to work by providing a quality summer experience for their children with a variety of field trips, sports, arts & crafts, drama, cooking and outdoor activities.
Catch the Reading Bug
Description
Catch the Bug Summer Reading Program is a free reading incentive program for preschoolers through young adults. Kids can sign up to win prizes by reading books and enjoy eight weeks of special programs, library activities, weekly incentives and prize drawings at their local library.
Fairbanks Boys & Girls Club

Fairbanks Montessori Summer Program
Description
In June students at Montessori will learn about food and art from around the world. Students will tackle some projects during the warm summer days that are too messy for the classrooms. In July students will study Alaska, including hands on activities with our local flora and fauna.
Girls Softball & T-Ball
Description
Participants will learn softball fundamentals and play girls softball. Mid-season jamboree will be held June 13-14 with competitions and prizes.
Museum Youth Volunteers
Description
The museum is looking for 13-18 year olds to volunteer this summer. Gain experience and make new friends while learning about museum collections and exhibits. Develop and present demonstrations for visitors. Volunteers asked to commit 3 hours a week. Applications due May 1. Contact Museum Education: museum.education@uaf.edu or 474-6948.

Ten Hunee Daal'oye Youth Academy
Description
The academy will be focusing on leadership, wellness and Athabascan culture. Elders will guide the teaching. Certified teachers will integrate the academics into the Athabascan teachings. We will be using subsistence activities of fishing and caribou to teach all who attend the camp.
