In Case You Missed It

Dave linked this yesterday, but, this needs to be shown to as many people as possible, and to be read again and again. An American reporter who's now in Iraq, who thought he knew the score on Iraq, says:

Thanks Margaret. For what it's worth, most of us are getting our news off of blogs now. The Main Stream Media is too biased to the left, and we never hear the truth there anymore. I suspect, newspapers will be a thing of the past within 15 years, and Network News will follow unless they start reporting the truth.

I was watching a liberal reporter on CSPAN this morning who was clearly biased to the left, but had the audacity to say she wasn't. It's lies like these which cause the loss of your customers.

If you do chose to report the truth, you will have an appreciative audience. Those who cling to their ideology, will go by the wayside.

Margaret,

I am very impressed that your reporting from Iraq. My husband is with the 172nd from Ft. Wainwright. I read the Miner everyday as well as your blog. Since I live in Washington State, I don't hear as much about what goes on in Mosul so its really nice to read what you have to say. Best of luck to you and I look forward to seeing what you have to write about the troops in Mosul.

Dear Margaret,

I agree with the Mom about pictures....I also have a son in Mosul with the 172nd SBCT out of Ft Wainwright. I also search the news and internet for just a glimpse!!! His name is Mike and I so want to give him a big proud hug this Christmas! I'm sending a huge Merry Christmas too all the troops but especially to my son. Thanks for being there and giving us a peek at life "over there". If you have a chance, hug as many of those soldiers as you can for me.....you might just run across my son :) We all miss our family members and wish them a speedy and safe return home. Our prayers are with ALL the soldiers.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a safe night!!!!!

[...] The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner’s Margaret Friedenauer is embedded with the 172nd Stryker Brigade in Iraq and blogging about her experience here. I actually found out about her blog from Instapundit of all places. That just shows you how much I keep up with the goings on in Fairbanks, doesn’t it? This post about how her experience thus far in Iraq doesn’t jive with the accepted narrative is particularly interesting. [...]

[...] I’ll end this with a report from a reporter in Iraq that speaks volume’s about the difference between what the MSM displays to the world, and what is actually happening: Think about everything you’ve heard about the conditions in Iraq, the role of U.S. forces, the multi-layered complexities of the war.
Hello Margaret -

"I need to keep balanced. I can’t be a cheerleader, even if I have a soft spot for the hometown troops, especially after the welcome they’ve shown me. I still need to be truthful and walk the centerline and report the good or bad."

All of that's true - but good heavens, people like you can BE the balance! You actually go out on patrol with these brave soldiers, and you witness their behavior firsthand. They lay their lives on the line every day, for our freedom and for that of the Iraqis. We know that if you witness bad behavior by our troops, that you'll diligently report it... but please, don't be afraid to report the good things that our men and women in uniform are doing! This is all too important in the history of the Middle East, and the world, for America to get only half of the story. Report the good things in Iraq with confidence!

Great reporting, best wishes and stay safe!

The Iraqi Vote

Really no need to comment on these statements much, they speak for themselves. I used them to show you that no matter what happens in Iraq, in the US, in the World, the left will never be happy. The only way they are happy is when the US is shown in...
