Just wanted to drop you a note...Thank you for your reporting and your blog. I read both every day. Love your pictures. It seems to me that some people don't understand that THIS is your personal blog about your personal experiences. You cannot possibly write about every single soldier you meet.
I am AnySoldier.com supporter and I mail care packages to both Iraq and Afghanistan for over a year now. I mailed packages to 2-14 CAV when they were deployed to Tall Afar and then Rawah, and to other contacts in Mosul too. I mail packages now to a contact from B Co. 2-1 IN in Rawah. I get a good quality coffee beans sometimes donated from Eistein Bro. Bagels in Denver, CO. Is there anybody from A Co. signed at AnySoldier.com? They/you can also contact me directly and I will mail them coffee next week.
Have a great Christmas!
Take care of yourself.

OK, now I see the problem. This blog has 2 parts. A news section and a blog section. For some reason, it is difficult to find the news section, and outside links invariably go to the blog when they mean to be going to the news. I suspect most people are reading the blog section when they are expecting to be reading the news. Therefore, they do not get the news, just the personal observations.

Even tho there is a link to the news section from the blog, it is not clear that the news is from Margaret embedding in Mosul.

My suggestion: On the front page, flip the location of the two parts, so the news is on the left. Also rename the titles, as "On the Road" sounds like it is the main news channel, and "Read the Stories" does not sound like news.
