Wycoff and two Yukon Quest 300 mushers, Brent Sass of Fairbanks and Randy Cappel of Two Rivers, helped each other over Eagle Summit and into the checkpoint through high winds and whiteout conditions. Chappel lost his team and rode to the checkpoint with the other two. His team was later found safe.
