Eric Engman/News-Miner Fairbanks musher Brent Sass drives his team along the Yukon River on his way back to the Circle checkpoint after reaching the turnaround point for the Yukon Quest 300 sled dog race Tuesday morning, Feb. 14. Sass won the race. Mushers running the shorter Quest race this year went out along the trail on the Yukon River on a 50 mile loop returning to Circle.
