John Hagen/News-Miner Fairbanks musher Jennifer Cochran, right, sits down for dinner with her handler Terry Williams of Fairbanks at the Chatanika Lodge Tuesday evening, Feb. 14. "We shouldn't have been allowed to go out in those conditions," Cochran said of the estimated 100 mile per hour winds on Eagle Summit Sunday night during the 2006 Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race. "It was life or death out there." Cochran was one of 5 mushers rescued from the 3,685 foot pass. The musher was headed to Fairbanks where she was picking up more dogs to return to Circle and mush to Dawson City, Yukon.
